When?
The Chancellor’s Annual Staff and Faculty Appreciation Picnic is Friday, May 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Remember to bring your Pitt ID! You’ll need it to enjoy all the festivities.
Where?
This year’s event will be held at Posvar Patio and Schenley Drive. The active picnic area includes the outdoor space surrounding Hillman Library, Wesley W. Posvar Hall and Lawrence Hall. Restrooms are located inside each building.
- Volunteers should check in at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Schenley Drive next to the raffle prize table and stage.
- Four caricature stations: southwest of Lawrence Hall, west of Posvar Hall, northeast of Posvar Hall on Schenley Drive, and east of Hillman Library (entrance)
- Cotton candy: west side of Posvar Patio
- Three Dippin’ Dots stations: northwest of Posvar Hall, northeast of Posvar Hall, and east side of Posvar Patio
- Food and beverages: intersection of Schenley Drive and Roberto Clemente Drive. Attendees may line up on either side of Roberto Clemente Drive.
- Games: northwest of Posvar Hall, middle of Posvar Patio, and south of Hillman Library
- Photo spot: space between Lawrence Hall and Hillman Library
- Picnic giveaways (while supplies last): south of Lawrence Hall
- Popcorn: northwest of Posvar Hall
- Rita’s: next to photo spot
- Water: southeast of Hillman Library
Win Great Prizes
If you registered by May 8, we entered you for raffle drawings that we will announce throughout the picnic. We’ll have tons of great prizes. Winners do not need to be present to win.
Parking Available at Soldiers & Sailors and OC Lot
Two shuttles will run on a continuous 10-minute loop between the OC Lot, the School of Medicine, and the Soldiers & Sailors Parking Garage. Service will operate from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for upper campus staff and faculty. The University will validate parking in the Soldiers & Sailors Parking Garage and OC Lot between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Before returning to your car, show your Pitt ID to the attendant and share that you were at the picnic.
